BH Baseball Expands
BH BASEBALL HEADQUARTERS, KNOXVILLE, TN – Amidst all the rumors circulating lately, it seems that the ones regarding the expansion of the BH Baseball are completely true.
League officials announced on Wednesday afternoon that the league plans to expand with four new franchises joining the fray following the conclusion of the Spring ’10 season. While logos and stadium details have yet to be released, the franchises’ locations have been pinpointed as St. Louis, Los Angeles, Savannah, and New York.
The St. Louis franchise, tentatively called the St. Louis Liquors, comes under the ownership of Robert E. Horner, Jr., otherwise known as Scooter’s brother; the Los Angeles squad, titled the Los Angeles Fins, is owned by Ricky Fin; the Savannah Titanics is owned by Jonathan Wiggs (Wiggie); and finally, the New York Brothers is owned by none other than Fryin’ Brian himself.
The expansion of the league to 16 teams opens the opportunity for the expansion of leagues and divisions as well. The league currently consists of three geographically centered divisions, but following the addition of the expansion teams, the league will split into two leagues of two divisions each. The winners of these leagues will meet in the Summer ’10 Blue House Series. This divisional expansion also promises the first true all-star game in BH Baseball history.
