Ninjas Shutout Monarchs
MANCHESTER, NH – After dropping the first two games of the series, Baltimore captures an 8-0 win over the first-place Manchester Monarchs on Tuesday afternoon. The Ninjas (4-2) were led by pitcher Rex Rivera who completed a three-hit scoreless game. Alvin Abram also hit his third home run of the year, which puts him atop the Blue House Baseball leaderboard. The win put Baltimore in a tie for first-place in the Eastern Division.
For the Monarchs (4-2), the game was a slight setback in what was turning out to be a terrific start to the season. Manchester failed to get any offense going and looked more vulnerable than they have all year. The teams now move on with Baltimore playing Montreal on Saturday and Manchester playing winless Charleston.
