Lionelles’ Early Runs Enough to Beat JC
JOHNSON CITY, TN – Early hitting launched Whisker City to a 2-0 victory over Johnson City on Saturday night. The Lionelles (3-2) scored their only runs in the top of the first inning, but it was enough as they held on to shut out the Fuckhectors (2-3). The first run came on a Steven Nelson double to left field that drove in Freddy Mosher. The second run came on a sacrifice fly by William Lord that batted in Andrew Salazar. This game held true to the initial trends in the Central Division, where low scoring close games are prevalent. Robert McWilliams pitched eight and one-third innings for Whisker City and recorded his first win of the season.
The two teams meet again on Tuesday from the Chili’s Back Back Ribs Dome in Johnson City.
