Montreal earned their first home victory on Saturday afternoon.

MONTREAL – Mike Capone hit two home runs, as the Montreal Flatliners defeated the Manchester Monarchs for their first victory of the season. Capone ignited the game for Montreal (1-2) with a homer in the first inning. The ball sailed 406 feet to center field. Capone homered again in the seventh with a 431 foot shot to left field. “It felt great,” Capone said. “We had gone two games without really scoring. Today really felt good.”

Manchester (2-1) attempted a rally late in the game, but Capone’s damage was enough to put the Flatliners over the top. For Manchester, the game represented the first chink in their armor all season. “Beforehand, we were the team to beat,” Jacob Hampton said. “Now, we are definitely a vulnerable team. We will be rebound, though.”

Manchester will now head home for a three game series with Baltimore that begins on Tuesday. Montreal will take on the Charleston Windjammers. The Monarchs won the three game series with Montreal two games to one.

A Special Message

The Blue House Lives sincerely reflects that we all live within the Ninja Empire and are explicitly bound by the laws and regulations designed and introduced by Ninja, the self-proclaimed Grand Emperor of The Blue House.
In order to appease our sense of self-preservation, The Blue House Lives officially pledges our allegiance to the Ninja Empire, and this publication hopefully awaits the capitulation of those groups still engaged in resistance against mighty Ninja.
We do not express these sentiments out of fear. We promise.
