Halloween Party Deemed Success
THE BLUE HOUSE – On Saturday night, The Winner of the World observed the two-year anniversary of earning his sacred moniker. When he, along with The Winnerette, strolled into The Blue House for the annual Halloween party, he realized, at that exact moment, that there was no better place to celebrate the anniversary. If anyone else in attendance could match The Winner’s achievement, he/she too would have desired to spend an anniversary at The House’s Halloween Party.
When one climbed the regal stairs that ended at The Porch, one almost immediately noticed a pumpkin conspicuously carved with The Blue House Lives’s logo. It was immediately clear that the festivity would be endowed with class and courtesy. “It was a fine gathering,” one attendee stated. “I felt that if were to spend the Saturday before Halloween anywhere in the world, I would want to spend it here.”
Abraham Lincoln famously said, “Fellow citizens, we cannot escape history.” The Blue House Halloween Party proved that statement correct. The décor garnished the walls with a splendid blanket of spider webs both black and white. This color preference was a sole reminder that The Blue House is a site of equal opportunity. At The House, one can succeed at beer pong, Wii Bowling or even utter the cleverest joke of the night and not have to worry about the color of his/her skin.
The costumes were nothing short of spectacular. Jeff L. Horner, who donned the attire of Chaplin’s Tramp, noted, “The costumes were a glorious mix of color and magic. One felt completely transported. It was as if I had entered another dimension.” With all of the media hype surrounding M.C. Fox’s costume, skeptics debated whether he could deliver. When he appeared, however, he exceeded all expectation. He was draped with a futuristic suit accentuated with the most high-tech jetpack ever created. He was The Beerateer. A beer holder was even fastened to the side of the jetpack. The jetpack was adorned with fans, gauges and neon lights that were fully-operational, and the costume proved another triumph in Fox’s long line of ingenious costumes.
The party also proved another first for The House. Due to The House’s size and unusual dimensions that have long been the praise of critics, The House had never had a bonfire. That is, until the Halloween Party. One observer recalled, “It was as if they (Duncan and John actually) were ancient human ancestors who had just discovered the power of fire.” The fire was whole-heartedly approved by everyone. Rumors are even floating around that it might be nominated for a Blue House Year-End Award as Newcomer of the Year.
Overall, The Blue House Halloween Party was a supreme triumph for everyone in attendance. More articles are sure to come as The Blue House Lives delves into the glamorous details of this important affair.
