Fur Flies at Study Window
The fledgling war between Ninja and Lionelle presented its first amount of glorious bloodshed to the world this morning. As expected, the two forces collided at Study Window, a small alcove of strategic importance for both sides. “The noise was deafening,” an eyewitness stated. “We all knew this would happen eventually.”

In the early hours before battle, Ninja sat peacefully at Study Window.
Before the hostilities, Ninja sat peacefully at Study Window and observed a coral sunrise. The image was so serene that one standby reporter described it: “You would hardly even know that there was a war going on. It was tranquil. It was spiritual. I have never seen anything like it. Birds coasted as if the world were at rest, and bunnies sunned on the genial earth. One would not have wished for battle on this day.” But, unfortunately for the reporter and those nearby, battle did come. However, as it came unwanted by everyone else, Ninja sat solid in anticipation of potential glory.
The dirty business initiated when Lionelle slowly entered the scene and spied a vigilant Ninja at Study Window. One eyewitness said, “As she approached, she sniffed the scene intensely. We all knew what was coming.” Lionelle approached blaring hisses and moans in an attempt to cause her foe to become intimidated and possibly flee. Yet, Ninja did not flee, and Lionelle was forced to make an all out assault.

Lionelle rules the battlefield, for a time.
With regard to her stratagem, our chief war correspondent reported from the front, “She (Lionelle) seemed to want a full frontal attack, perhaps to score a quick decisive victory. Yet, as she charged forward, the sight of Ninja standing like a stone wall shook her willpower a bit. She then settled for a flanking maneuver.”
As Lionelle attempted to flank Ninja and push him from the alcove, Ninja employed a very risky maneuver: he strategically retreated. He relinquished Study Window to Lionelle. As the Lionelle flag was raised, one would have believed that she had conclusively won the day, but Ninja was merely biding his time.
After a sufficient regroup, Ninja struck back. One eyewitness illustrated the scene: “We sincerely believed that it was over, but he (Ninja) came out of hiding and caught her (Lionelle) completely by surprise.” Most battlefield experts agree that it was a brilliant and crucial maneuver on Ninja’s part. In a fur flying confrontation, Lionelle became severely shaken and was forced from Study Window. All of her supplies were then marked as Ninja urinated all over the place. Jeff L. Horner, The Blue House Lives senior kitty correspondent proclaimed, “Ninja won the day. Once he pissed everywhere, he spoiled Lionelle’s supplies. She had no choice but to pull out and abandon the field.”

Ninja's counterattack forces Lionelle's retreat.
Hours later now, Ninja’s flag still flaps in the wind at Study Window. Lionelle, however, has not been seen or heard from since the confrontation. Experts warn that she is most likely back at her headquarters, the front end of Old Pontiac, planning her next move. Whatever that move is, however, it will not be unconditional surrender, as Ninja has requested. One thing is certain, this war was rage on, and The Blue House Lives will be there with ongoing coverage.

This week, BH Cinema is proud to present Curse of the Golden Flower, the Chinese epic directed by Zhang Yimou. Nickle heralds this movie as "pretty good". Scooter has viewed the poster art and wholeheartedly agrees.
