The Quest for 300
In the world of sports, nothing engraves a memory like a perfect performance. That same is true for bowling, and Brian Elmore seeks perfection. He readily admits that the perfect game, a 300, is well within his reach. After multiple close calls, including a ten strike in-a-row showing that amounted to a staggering 289, the final push may be near.

Brian Elmore tries to silence his demons and land the perfect game.
Brian’s bowling career up until this day has nothing short of exemplary. He has shattered records and recorded myriad wins since his debut. He has surpassed the elusive score of 250 numerous times. Yet, it is the 300, the shining idol of bowlers, that stands one step farther than he has ever been.
This season, however, is predicted to be his year. He entered ranked a unanimous number one in the BHL Experts Bowling Poll with all 20 first place votes. Most sports critics also agree that he will be unbeaten at the end of the regular season. Yet, the lingering question remains: Will he finally remove the monkey from his back and record a perfect game?
Last year, he was the clear favorite to win the coveted BH Golden Bowling Medal, but suffered a staggering setback that left him in second place. Michael C. Fox, II, the undisputed winner of the tournament was quoted during his celebration drink, “Man-Man always wins. Even over Frylock (Elmore).” Fox later quietly admitted that Brian will get a perfect game before he himself scores one.

Will this be Elmore's year?
Last year did have its shining moments for Elmore, however. It started when he recorded a then record setting 266. This was matched, though, when Jeff L. Horner bowled the same on an eight strike in-a-row streak weeks later. Yet, if anyone knows anything about bowling, they know that Elmore is not the one to settle for a draw. He stormed back on the very next night and scored the record smashing 289, eleven points shy of perfection. After the fireworks, Brian said, “Eleven damn points. I’ll get it, brother.”
And get it he may, at least according to experts. It also must be noted that the incredible could happen any night, and with the new season underway, Brian Elmore sits as any gladiator does: in complete anticipation of perfection.

This week, BH Cinema is proud to present Curse of the Golden Flower, the Chinese epic directed by Zhang Yimou. Nickle heralds this movie as "pretty good". Scooter has viewed the poster art and wholeheartedly agrees.
